Skytech 3002 Timer/Thermostat Fireplace Remote Control provides wireless thermostatic and timer control of a gas heating fireplace with the simple click of a button. The remote control transmitter runs on (2) 1.5V AAA batteries and features an LCD display that uses a user friendly interface, with MODE/SET/TIMER&TIME and two directional arrow buttons to communicate wirelessly to a receiver that operates on (4) AA batteries. The receiver connects to all standard millivolt valves, and can be mounted up to 20 feet away from the fireplace. Well, I took the remote out of the box, put batteries in, read the instructions, and the remote quit working. The LCD screen went blank. I tried new batteries but didn't help. Put batteries back in and out and the LCD went on and then started flashing. Need to return, but now am skeptical. Also the remote doesn't have a hinge on the cover, so you will have to take the cover off, set the time you want the fireplace on, and put the cover back on. Not easy to take off, as it snaps on pretty solidly.After more time let me explain the the cover issue ended up much better than I thought. One I had in the past had a hinge to remove cover, but this one has a nice slide down option that is even better to uncover some of the buttons. My wife figured that out. Also when I called about a replacement or exchange they sent me to the manufacturer who then sent me back to them and in the end the replaced the remote right away with no hassle. Very pleased with the company, the remote so far and the experience of resolving the initial problem with the remote.

Ordered 3/22 and was told at time of purchase it would ship 4/5, no issue there. Not sure what I need to rate... how easy it is to click a button and purchase? I would suggest hold off on sending numerous emails until customer has received their order and has had a chance to become acquainted with the product.

This remote and thermostat replaced the 3001 however the on/off signals are mixed up. I tried rewiring but its still wrong. Works but backwards.

Limited Lifetime Warranty
SKYTECH II warrants the SKYTECH REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM for a Limited Lifetime of the original owner of this system. This warranty is not transferable to another person it is for the original purchaser of the product. Should any part fail because of defective workmanship or material from the original date of purchase. SKYTECH II will repair or, at SKYTECH II option, replace the defective parts.
Replacement parts will be available at no charge for the first (5) five years of this warranty, and will be available at market cost for the Lifetime of the product to that original owner. If SKYTECH II does not have the parts for an individual model, then a replacement SYSTEM will be provided. At no charge for the first (5) five years and sold at market cost for the Lifetime of that product to the original owner.
The Owner must provide a bill of sale, cancelled check, or payment record should be kept to verify purchase date and establish warranty period. Travel, diagnostic cost, service labor to repair the defective SYSTEM, and freight charges on warranty parts to and from the factory will be the responsibility of the owner. SKYTECH will not be responsible for labor charges and/or damage incurred in installation, repair, replacement, or for incidental or consequential damages. Batteries and any damage caused by them are not covered by them are not covered by this warranty.
This warranty does not cover claims, which do not involve defective workmanship or materials.
Damage to the SYSTEM caused by accident, misuse, abuse, or installation error, whether performed by a contractor, Service Company, or owner, is not covered by this warranty. Modification of the SKYTECH product will void this warranty.
IN NO EVENT SHALL SKYTECH BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY. THIS WARRANTY SUPERSEDES ALL OTHER ORAL OR WRITTEN WARRANTIES.
