The remote control transmitter operates on (3) 1.5V AAA batteries that uses 6 buttons (MANUAL ON-OFF/AUTO ON-OFF/CLOCK/TIMER/UP/DOWN) to communicate with a wireless receiver that operates on (4) AA batteries. I had no need for this product due to a misdiagnosis of the stove’s non function. The problem lied in a switch unrelated to the Acumen RCK-K. However, the packing slip that was enclosed was not for the RCK-K.
Also the email that I received for the return did not have the attachment to download the return label
Other than that the service was fantastic, quick and efficient. Thank you.

It is amazing how much a replacement remote control costs. I feel profit is low on the original fireplace and high on replacement parts specifically remote control units.

Worked great right out of the box. Easy to replace my old broken Acumen remote control unit. I had to change out the connectors to the fireplace but that was all. Kind of expensive tho.

My senior condo came with a ten year old fireplace installed. It stopped working and I determined it was due to the thermostat control. It took a lot of looking to determine where and who to get a replacement from. Located Spotix on internet and they were helpful, but I ordered wrong module. Spotix was helpful in returning it and getting me the correct one. Installed it and it is working fine. Seems the original TX/RX went bad, remote works fine.

I needed a new controller and remote for my dowstairs fireplace. The customer service rep I spoke with was great! He helped me select the proper replacement and assited me with ordering it. The equipment arrived within a few days. I plugged it in, and the fireplace is as good as new!

I installed after reading the directions. The setting on the received was on manual. I turned on the fireplace with the transmitter and it turned the fireplace on and off. They a few minutes later, the fireplace came back on? I turned it off and a few minutes later it came back on. So I turned the received in the off position. Need help! Thanks

We love to be able to set the thermostat to the temperature we want and the gas logs will turn on and off to maintain that temperature. This remote control is a replacement for the remote we used for over 10 years. I wanted the same remote since we had such good service out of the first one.

This unit is not user friendly in the slightest. I program computers for a living and I couldn't figure this out. One of the first hurdles is finding out that you have to hold buttons down for 2 seconds for them to work, you cant just press the button. Second I still haven't got the auto shut off working.Terrible Product!

FIVE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Hearth Products Controls Company warranties product against manufacturing defects that prevent safe and correct operation of the product commencing from the date of original sale or shipment from HPC. The warranty on parts and in-house labor will apply only to claims presented to us by our original customer and is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied. Indoor remote control kits have a warranty period of 5 years, for both commercial and residential applications.
The defective product must be shipped back with an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by HPC for that specific product which states the nature of the defect or warranty claim. Product to be returned should be packed carefully-HPC is not responsible for damage on returned items. The original purchase information will be required. RMA's are only valid for 30 days from the date of issue by HPC and will not be processed if received after the expiration date. The RMA number must be indicated on the outside of the return package and a copy of the RMA in the package with product.
Our warranty does not cover items that have been damaged by over heating, modification, abuse, improper storage, installation, or maintenance. This warranty excludes claims for incidental or consequential damage and indirect-collateral expenses arising from product defects or warranty recovery.
